The kids had strict orders that they couldn't come in and wake us up until 6:00 a.m. They also couldn't wake up the baby or everything Santa had brought would be given to other children! Amazingly, they managed both.
They had been up for a while before they woke us up so they were eager to show us their treasures. Cash got the Pokemon White DS game and a double pack of Pokemon cards.
Maddie got an iTouch, which hasn't been put down since!
Ryley got the Pokemon Soul Silver DS game and a pack of Pokemon cards. His game also came with a Pokewalker (said poh-kee-walker) which is a little pedometer/Tamagotchi thing that works in conjunction with your DS to give whatever Pokemon character you have loaded into it extra power by your footwork. (Way more Pokemon info than you wanted to know, right? Yeah, me too.) We didn't even know his game came with this Pokewalker but I'm glad it did. He takes that thing everywhere and was definitely the biggest hit for him. You can't really do much on it but it has numbers, which are totally Ryley's thing. He can be found running around the kitchen table several times a day just to get the numbers to change. 
Cash also got a lamp for reading in bed of his very own!
Ryley was really confused by this gift but it ended up being another hit. A gyroscope.
Maddie got lots of art supplies.
Another number-related present for Ryley: a clock for his room. Other people might think he is obsessed with time or being on time but really it's all about the numbers.
We finally went and woke up the baby after all the big kids were done opening their presents. He likes his gifts from Santa too!
Man, I love this kid!
After we cleaned up all the present carnage we got ready for church. Daddy didn't have any meetings so he was even there to get in the way help!
After church we went home and changed and headed back over to the Hopewell's for the BIG family dinner. All the Lewis', all the Tylers and all the Hopewells under one roof = CRAZY but fun! Austin was definitely the most festive in his dancing hat.
We ate dinner, we visited, opened some more presents, and just hung out together. The boys all hung out together and listened to Josh tell stories (think it runs in the family? You're right!)
These two are so cute and I'm so excited for them!!
Diego was napping when we all got there and had to be woken up to eat. He was NOT happy about it, but he sure is cute!
After a nice long evening of all the fun we packed up and headed home again. We were all so tired! It was definitely a good Christmas though. I kind of liked having Christmas on Sunday. It spread the holiday out a little longer. It's always hard for us on holidays because we have so much family around. I know - what a problem to have, right? It is definitely a blessing. It's just makes for really long days and lots of running around. So it was nice to have everything spread out a little more. Plus having church on Christmas day felt like we were really able to worship what we were supposed to be worshipping on that day. We'll have to work harder on keeping that a part of our Christmases to come.
