The weekend before E’s surgery Icemaggedon hit the DFW area. It was also the weekend we had planned to do the Sealing (and our 17th anniversary) but all of that flew out the window since everything shut down, including the Temple. :( Daddy had to stay home with us since he couldn’t get out of the driveway and the kids had lots of fun sliding around on the ice outside.
It looks like snow but it was a solid sheet of ice!
Sure does look pretty though!
We only lost a few small branches on some of our bigger trees, which was really lucky. A lot of people lost entire trees! A lot of people were also out of power since power lines came down with the weight of the ice but we never lost power either. We are very thankful that the worst it did to us was make us reschedule the Sealing.
