4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July - our newest little Americans’ first!  We started out the day at our ward breakfast.  Maddie promptly found a grasshopper in the grass and had to catch it.

Daddy, of course, had to torture the girls with it.

The kids all had fun playing on the playground and eating breakfast at the park.

Later that evening we met up with Brianne and John to watch some fireworks in McKinney.

4th-3

The boys all had fun playing football and soccer.

Maddie got out there and showed the boys how it’s done.

Waiting, waiting and more waiting for the sun to set.

Just hanging out with cousin Sadie, putting on my lipstick.  :)

Grace made herself right at home in back of Dan’s truck.

I can’t even remember why they were all lined up here now.  That’s what I get for being so behind on blogging!

Once it started getting dark we pulled out the glow sticks.

The fireworks did not disappoint.  Brianne and I both turned on the radios in our car so we could have a little background music.  Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” always gets me!  Such a fun night.
