Westward Hopewells - Friday, August 15 - Thanksgiving Point and BYU

We spent most of the day at Thanksgiving Point at the Museum of Natural Curiosity.  Since we are members of The Perot Museum here in Dallas we got into this museum for free!  Score.

The girls played at this little kid’s area for quite a while.

After the museum we went over and drove around the BYU campus and hit up the Bookstore.  Josh and I never went there so we weren’t really showing the kids our alma mater or something but we wanted them to have had an experience there and hopefully that will help them want to go there someday.  I managed to not get even one photo there!  ??? The kids each picked out a T-shirt and a little treat.  They all got some Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans (we had been listening to Harry Potter on CD for the entire trip so they had Harry Potter on their brains already.) We went back to the RV and picked up some dinner.  The kids ate outside on the picnic table and pretty soon Josh and I could hear them laughing hysterically.  They had busted out their Every Flavor Beans and were having the time of their lives trying all the disgusting flavors and seeing each other’s reactions.

It was pretty hilarious.  They kept trying to trick me into trying a vomit bean but I’m too smart for them.
