We got up bright and early on Thursday morning and said our goodbyes to the Smith’s. We drove down to Draper, Utah, after stopping in Lehi to eat our lunch. We found a beautiful spot near the center of town at the Tabernacle and had a picnic in the grass under the shade of some big old trees. It was awesome and definitely not something that you could do in Texas in the middle of August! The kids played catch and ran around for quite a while. Josh threw a “spiky ball” (some kind of seed pod from the trees) at Maddie, which hit her in the leg and she had some allergic reaction to it. She was fine after a while though. We got into Draper around 3pm and got the RV all set up. We drove to Salt Lake City and walked around Temple Square.
I cannot remember, for the life of me, why they were looking so surprised but it’s still cute.
I think we’re going to print this next one on a big canvas and hang it above our fireplace.
We packed everyone up and set out to find some dinner. We finally settled on Chuckarama, which the kids loved. Sawyer kept saying every night after it, “I want to eat at Chunky Mama’s!"
